Aggieland Retirement Services Joins Forces with Retirement Capital Planners
Brazos Valley retirees gain holistic, income-focused planning and an integrated team built around a carefree retirement and a lasting legacy
RICHMOND, VA (June 15, 2026) - Michael Cutbirth, CFP®, RICP®, RSSA®, founder of Aggieland Retirement Services, has joined forces with Retirement Capital Planners (RC Planners), a financial planning and investment advisory firm headquartered in Richmond, VA, with offices in Grand Rapids, MI, and York, PA. The affiliation takes effect July 1, 2026.
For nearly four decades, Cutbirth has helped families across the Brazos Valley plan a retirement that is, in his words, simplified and with less stress. He and RC Planners founder Jeremy Shipp were trained in the same financial philosophy and see retirement income the same way, which made the fit a natural one. Shipp has spent more than two decades in financial services helping families turn what they have saved into predictable, tax-efficient income that lasts.
As part of the move, Cutbirth's clients gain an enhanced suite of services: access to the secure eMoney client portal, where they can see their full financial picture in one place and view projections for the years ahead; the firm's Carefree Retirement Income Model™, a strategy built to address the seven major risks to a successful retirement; and an integrated team of specialists in tax, estate, and business planning.
"My work has always been about taking something complicated and making it simple, so my clients can enjoy retirement with less stress," said Michael Cutbirth. "Joining RC Planners lets me give them more than I could on my own. I remain their advisor and their first call. What changes is the depth behind me — better tools, a deeper planning process, and a team that shares my philosophy and will be here for my clients for years to come."
Clients will see a few surface-level changes in the coming weeks, such as a new company name and branding and a new email address for Cutbirth. The things that matter most stay the same. Cutbirth remains their primary point of contact, and each client chooses whether to expand into the firm's full planning services or continue as they are today. Joining an established team also gives his clients lasting continuity, with an experienced firm ready to serve them without interruption.
"Michael and I were trained in the same approach to money and retirement, right down to the philosophy we both built our practices on," said Jeremy D. Shipp, CFP®, CLU®, RICP®, WMCP®, CEPA®, founder of RC Planners. "His clients are going to feel the difference — more planning resources, a full team of specialists, and a clear path to a carefree retirement. We're glad to have him on board."
